Restore Damaged & Missing Teeth

With a dental crown, you can cover up and restore a tooth that’s been damaged by decay or an oral injury, and bridges let you restore one or more missing teeth. Both treatments offer fast results and keep your smile healthy, so contact Vivid Dentistry today to get an appointment in Crestview Hills with Dr. Enzweiler. We also proudly serve the Villa Hills and Fort Wright communities.

Minimally-Invasive

Both bridges & crowns require some of your natural enamel to be removed, but there is no major oral surgery required for either treatment.

Prevent Future Complications

Crowns protect and cover up your teeth, preventing further decay and damage, and bridges help prevent teeth shifting after tooth loss.

Restore Your Self-Confidence

By replacing a missing or damaged tooth with a bridge or crown, you can feel great about your appearance once again.

What Are Dental Crowns?

Dental crowns are built from high-quality porcelain and are meant to cover up and replace damaged teeth. The damaged tooth is trimmed, then a custom crown is built that looks and feels just like a natural tooth, and covers up the remaining tooth material all the way down to the gum line, restoring your smile and your oral health.

The Crown Treatment Process

The process takes 2 appointments over a period of 2-3 weeks. At your first appointment, your mouth will be cleaned and numbed, then Dr. Enzweiler will trim the tooth to prepare it for a crown, and take impressions and images of the tooth.‍

This information is sent to a dental lab where your crown will be made, and you’ll be sent home with a temporary crown. In 2-3 weeks, your crown will arrive and you’ll come back for your follow-up appointment. Then, Dr. Enzweiler will check the fit of the crown and permanently attach it to your tooth.

Do I Need a Crown?

If your tooth is severely decayed or has been damaged by an oral injury, a crown may be the best option to cover up and protect it. Schedule a consultation with Dr. Enzweiler to learn more about your options now.

What Are Dental Bridges?

Dental bridges use two dental crowns that attach to healthy teeth, and support one or more false teeth to “bridge” a gap in your smile and replace missing teeth. They are a good alternative to partial dentures and dental implants.

The Bridge Treatment Process

The process is similar to the crown placement process. At your first appointment, your teeth will be trimmed by Dr. Enzweiler, and she will take impressions and images of your smile, which will be sent to a dental lab.‍

The lab will build your bridge and send it to our office within 2-3 weeks. You’ll wear a temporary bridge or crowns in the meantime. Then, you’ll come back for your final appointment, and Dr. Enzweiler will permanently bond your bridge to your teeth, restoring your smile.

Am I a Good Candidate for a Bridge?

If you are missing one or more adjacent teeth but your remaining teeth are healthy and strong, bridges may be a good option for restoring your smile. Contact Vivid Dentistry now for an appointment and explore your options in more detail.
